Norton Buffalo apparently died yesterday from cancer, age 58. Another good man gone too soon.

Jerry plays Norton - and damn fine it is too.

Norton was local in this little corner of the world. He will be dearly missed.

A lot like how the people in the DC area where I live think about Danny Gatton. The greatest guitar player you probably never heard of.

Oh, I've heard of Danny..played slide with a full beer bottle and I would've hated to be his guitar tech behind that trick...AKA "The Master of the Telecaster"(though he shares that title with Albert Collins)

Don't really know his work, but I can say that many in the Bay Area in my younger days spoke very highly of him and his various projects...cultish following of very dedicated fans it seemed to me; will use this to motivate my exploration.

Thx for the sad news Rob.

I loved is harp playing and sound. Desert Horizon is one of my all time fav albums. Even though he played with Steve Miller a LOT, he's still OK in my book.

I'm gonnna miss him!

Real bummer!

Oh yeah and definitely check out Danny Gatton! Really miss him.

Such a long, long time to be gone and a short time to be there
